Finally city and cultural life again
As if this summer had gone like a bull at a gate, the temperatures are rising at last and Corona numbers are dropping. Fittingly, from this Friday onwards, masks will no longer be mandory in busy streets and public squares in Berlin. Furthermore, in addition to the restaurants and beer gardens that are already open, […]
The largest of the up to three office buildings that will be part of the Ostkreuz Campus business location is called PANDION POLLUX. The six-storey modern office building with a total of 50 office units is of course not called that by chance. Rather, there is an interesting symbol behind it. The name refers to […]
Alternative nesting sites for house sparrows
Who would have thought that big cities are such an attractive habitat for many different bird species? Especially on the green grounds of the gardening school and the inviting Laskerwiese, which are in the immediate vicinity of the Ostkreuz Campus and are important parts of the neighbourhood, birds, insects and other animal species feel very […]
Ostkreuz Campus in the middle of the green metropolitan oasis
Ducks, geese, chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, pheasants, a pony, bees and exotic small birds and water turtles. Plus herbs, vine plants, roses and wild flowers. You would expect all this in the countryside, but not in the middle of the city. And yet this is exactly what is happening directly opposite the future office ensembles […]
THE DECONSTRUCTION IS UNDERWAY
The sorting grabs, demolition shears and caulking hammers are in action: the video shows that after extensive preliminary work, the demolition of a total of seven buildings on our Ostkreuz Campus site has started in full swing. The two former car dealerships, four halls and a small workshop are to be completely demolished by the […]
Culinary delights of the restaurants & cafés in the Ostkreuz neighbourhood
The Corona lockdown is known to hit the gastronomy very hard, which is why restaurants, cafés and bars around the Ostkreuz Campus are facing the pandemic with a lot of creativity. Whether it’s take-aways, delivery services, cooking boxes or food markets, all of this is of course also offered by the restaurants in the Stralauer […]
Why are we building offices here?
Plenty of space for creativity, modern work spaces and meetings: the Ostkreuz Campus is turning into an inspiring place to work. But why are we exclusivly building offices in this urban environment, why not apartments instead? The legal requirements for this location do not allow it. It is not possible to built apartments here, only […]
Club culture around the Ostkreuz campus during the lockdown
Berlin famously invites the whole world to experience conviviality and parties on its dance floors. Around the Ostkreuz Campus can be found legendary and diverse clubs like the Techno-Club (LINK) and the Salon zur Wilde Renate, established in 2007 in a former tenement block. Here night owls party the night away to techno and house music.
Laying the foundations for the Ostkreuz Campus
A new beginning: passers-by can see something new is coming to the Ostkreuz Campus. The chic site fence doesn’t just delimit the site on Persiusstraße and around the corner on the Bödickerstraße, it also dpeicts the coming changes as it is decorated with images of the future office space.
We decided on this location for our offices because our Ostkreuz Campus lies right between three attractive quarters in Berlin: between Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg and very close to Berlin-Mitte. Ostkreuz train station, with the greatest number of connections in Berlin, is also close at hand. This convinced us that the Ostkreuz Campus is really in the right place.
